Green Puppy Boarding Academy

This program is currently on hold and not accepting any new clients.  If you are a trainer and would like to run a program like this, please email sterling@greenpups.com

Perfect For:

1. People who are on vacation and need quality care for their puppy.

2. People in town who are too busy to give their puppy the training and attention necessary at this age. Available 7 days per week or just M-F.

Let's face it, puppies are completely adorable but they're also a lot of work.  They chew and bark and aren't house trained. On top of all that, you can't talk to them.  You're reading five different books and getting advice from all your friends and family.  It's confusing and you're trying to manage this  while working and living your life.  That's why we created this program - to help you. We'll take care of socialization, obedience training, house training and basic manners so your pup has wonderful head start in the world and grows into the lovely adult dog you want.

General Overview

Your puppy can stay with us for a little as one night or as long as three months and will get trained every day.  Your sweet puppy will spend the day playing with other puppies, learning the right things to chew, being handled by lots of people for socialization and getting all the basic obedience training and house training necessary at this age.  Some people call this Puppy Boot Camp but we just call it a lot of fun!

We will inform you every step of the way what progress your puppy is making and then exactly how to continue training after the program.  We believe in holding your hand until you feel confident to train your dog and live together peacefully and that means lots of phone calls, emails and private one-on-one sessions in your home.

Pricing & Benefits Structure:

The Green Puppy Boarding Academy costs $50 per day whether your puppy comes for one day or three months.  The more your puppy comes, the more training they receive and the more benefits you get.  Because enrolling in this program is time sensitive and puppies need to start right away, payment plans are available.

Parent's Night!

Because we know that for those of you in town, leaving your puppy may be hard, we have a Parent's Night every Tuesday and Wednesday.   You can pick your puppy up between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. and drop her back between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.  During this time you can take the home, go for a walk or take your new puppy to Norm's - a great restaurant in Fremont which allows you to bring your dog with you! This is entirely optional but a fun way to break up your week.

If you're training my puppy, will the puppy also listen to me?

We will take care of all the heavy lifting for you by giving your dog a strong foundation in obedience training and good manners.  Everyone gets a New Puppy Packet which explains the basics of dog training.  For those who stay long enough, they also get a copy of the Green Paws Puppy System which is an all inclusive training guide with step-by-step instructions for continuing your dog's progress.  For puppies who stay longer than 2 weeks, you will also receive private, in-home follow-up sessions where we go over exactly what your puppy learned.  We make parents feel very comfortable about training their puppies and making more progress.

Will my puppy forget me?

Absolutely not!  Your puppy will get so excited every time you come to visit or pick her up, you'll know she's been missing you the whole time.  This happens even for our parents who have only had their puppy for one or two days before dropping them off into our program.

Will my puppy ever be left alone?

No, there is someone in the house 24 hours a day to make sure your puppy is safe, comfortable and having a great vacation!

What do I need to bring with me on the first day?

You need to bring proof of your puppy's shots and your puppy's dog food.  That's all you need to bring but you're welcome to bring your puppy's crate, toys, blankets etc. from home as well.

Where do the puppies go to the bathroom and play?

The puppies go to the bathroom in our completely fenced backyard where they are each rewarded for going in the right place.  Then everyone goes back inside for playtime in our completely puppy proofed kitchen which is filled with puppy toys!

Where is the Green Puppy Boarding Academy?

The daycare is actually being run out of a house in Green Lake.   One of the things that makes our program so amazing and effective is that we run it from a house and train your dog just like they will be living in your home.  You can come visit any time to see how we run our program, just call to set up a walk through appointment.
